Love as Children of God

The description "Children of God" is used to describe belivers, those who have recieved Jesus. In 1 John 3 we are told of a Father who loves us, who has adopted us into His family and who calls us to love like Him. The family of God is to marked by a culture of love - which will cause us to live like God, to be like Jesus. This can, and often will cause us to be different from the world around us. We are called to stay obedient to God, led by the Spirit, living a life love as children of God.
